In a surreal film, we could find irrational, shocking or absurd imagery through the movements of a character or an object. Within my fashion film, I could include some strange and irrational movements to present the surrealistic idea to my audience.
Rene Margritte
René François Ghislain Magritte was a Belgian surrealist artist who often uses common objects and transforms them into an unusual context. Through Margritte's works, I found the third photo very eye catching it challenges an impossible thing in reality where the fish and the bird is the same height as the man. This makes me feel excited about what I am going to do for my final project. The idea of placing unrelated object has fascinated me.
Pablo Picasso
Pablo Ruiz y Picasso was a Spanish painter, printmaker, sculptor, ceramicist, poet, stage maker and playwright. I realised that a lot of his paintings are about humans with juxtaposed facial appearances on their face. I found this inspiring and it inspires me to do something, for instance, many overlapped faces on one photo and in order to create this effect, I could use Photoshop to achieve the effect.
